The Parish Council is currently investigating with Beds Borough Council putting litter bins at the ends of both Green and Sandy Lane. An inspector from BBC has been out to look and ironically because we been so good at picking up litter recently there is now not enough to warrant the bins. However, all is not lost. The inspector is going to undertake a survey for the next 12 weeks of these areas and collect evidence of rubbish levels. So, can you please refrain from picking up litter at the bottom of the lanes for the next 12 weeks. Put a note in your diaries to clean the lane areas with gusto from mid August onwards.
Please do not stop the good litter picking work in other parts of the villages.
